Erik ten Hag sees defeat in first EPL match as Man Utd coach

Manchester United new head coach, Erik ten Hag, started his managerial role in the English Premier League in a defeat after his club lost 2-0 to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag was appointed on the premise of his performance while in Ajax but the Dutchman is yet to prove his worth.

United were down with two goals before the before courtesy Brighton’s Pascal Groß who netted the ball in the 30th and 39th minutes.

United failed to make impact in the second half but missed couple of chances from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to make the starting lineup due to fitness.

Elsewhere, Leicester started off the season with a draw. The Foxes failed to hold on to their 2-0 lead against Brentford in the 33rd and 46th minute.

The Bees doggedness earned them a deserved draw in 62nd and and 86th minute.
